Driver takes a wild ride, then flees

Accident occurred May 15 at 2:45 a.m. on North State Street near Terrace Drive.

• Davila, Carlos A-G., 24-year-old male, Lincoln; 2001 Ford ZX2

Police report indicated that Davila was traveling north on North State Street at an undetermined high rate of speed. He crossed Brainard's Branch and immediately lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road to the left, back onto the road, through the intersection at Terrace Drive, then off the road to the left, where he struck a utility pole. Davila then fled the scene of the accident.

He was later arrested at the Logan County Safety Complex and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage and failing to give proper information regarding the accident.

Driver ticketed for improper backing

Accident occurred May 10 at 11:06 a.m. on South McLean near Broadway.

• Decker, James R., 74-year-old male, Lincoln; 2002 Kia Sedona

• Ilg, Jessica L., 30-year-old female, Lincoln; 2005 Dodge Durango owned by William R. McCray

Accident report stated that Ilg was northbound on South McLean, came to a full stop at the traffic light, then proceeded ahead. Decker was backing out of a parking spot, did not see Ilg coming and backed out in front of her.

Decker was ticketed for improper backing.

Lincoln City Police Department reports for Monday, May 17

• Davila, Carlos A-G., 24-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 15 at the Logan County Safety Complex on a Class A charge of failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle or property, and a Class A charge of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage. Vehicle was towed.

• McCree, Kenneth S., 25-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 14 at his residence on Class 1 charge of possession of a controlled substance.

• Metelko, Justin M., 29-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 16 at Sixth and Washington in Lincoln on a Tazewell County warrant for a traffic offense. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

• Morse, Kevin M., 18-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 14 at his residence on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent.

• Ramsey, Melissa A., 43-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested May 14 at her residence. First arrest occurred at 3:06 p.m. on Class B charge of criminal trespass; second arrest occurred at 10:36 p.m. on Class C charge of disorderly conduct and breach of peace.

• Sanders, Anne N., 29-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested May 14 at Sixth and South Jackson on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear and a Class A charge of driving with license suspended. Bond was set at $250 cash, and vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Winters, Shauntez J., 26-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 14 at College and Fifth on a Class A charge of driving with a license suspended. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

Logan County Sheriff's Department reports for Monday, May 17

• Arnold, David L., 58-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 15 at his residence on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

• Cook, Jedadiah S., 23-year-old male, of Mount Pulaski, arrested May 16 at Jefferson and Spring streets in Mount Pulaski on a Class A charge of driving under the influence and a Class 4 charge of aggravated DUI. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Cook, Jennifer E., 24-year-old male, of Beason, arrested May 16 at her residence on a McLean County warrant for failure to appear on charge of contempt of court. Bond set at $100 cash.

• Davison, Jared D., 23-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 15 at Limit and Delavan in Lincoln on Class A charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Gibbs, Kendal E., 19-year-old male, of Mount Pulaski, arrested May 16 at 1150th Avenue and 1600 Street on Class A charge of illegal consumption.

• Gleason-Schmock, Maureen A., 52-year-old female, of Middletown, arrested May 16 in the 200 block of South Clinton, Middletown, on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $2,000, 10 percent.

• Keith, Amanda L., 31-year-old female, of Middletown, arrested May 16 in the 200 block of South Clinton in Middletown on a Tazewell County warrant for failure to appear. Bond set at $5,000, 10 percent.

• Riva, David M., 45-year-old male, of Forsyth, Mo., arrested May 15 in Forsyth, Mo., on a Logan County warrant charging a Class 2 felony of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Bond was set at $50,000, 10 percent.

• Selinger, Rich F., 32-year-old male, of Mount Pulaski, arrested May 15 at 400 Street and 1600 Avenue on Class A charge of driving under the influence. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

Illinois State Police report for Monday, May 17

• Smitas, Nancy A, 51-year-old female, of Chicago, arrested May 14 in Chicago on a Logan County warrant on a Class 1 charge of bringing contraband to a penal institution and a Class 2 charge of conspiracy.
