Accidents

Sideswipe on South Sangamon

Accident occurred May 21 at 12:05 p.m. on South Sangamon at the intersection with Pulaski.

  • Cress, Rachel M., 19-year-old female, Riverton; 1996 Honda Civic

  • Mueller, Robin A., 34-year-old female, Washington; 2006 Jeep Commander

Cress told police she had come to a stop on Sangamon behind Mueller and thought Mueller was preparing to turn right. Cress pulled forward, partially beside Mueller's vehicle, and sideswiped the driver's-side rear quarter panel. Mueller said that she had begun to cross Pulaski but saw a car coming over the tracks and stopped again.

Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, May 24

  • Duncan, Karmalisha D., 28-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested May 23 at her residence on Class A charge of failure to give information after striking property.

  • Kelly, Curtis L., 21-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested on May 21 at his residence on Class A charge of disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $120 cash.

  • Martinez, Janessa M., 19-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested May 23 in the 300 block of Elm Street on Class A charge of battery.

  • Robinson, Danielle N., 21-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested May 23 in the 300 block of Elm on Class A charge of battery.

  • Smith, Eric E., 35-year-old male, of Middletown, arrested May 21 in the 1000 block of North College on a Class 1 charge of aggravated intimidation and a Class 4 charge of criminal trespass to a residence.

  • Sutton, Tammy S., 39-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested May 23 at her residence on Class B charge of telephone harassment.

  • Welch, Kyle F., 25-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 21 at his residence on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $700 cash.

Logan County Sheriff Department reports for Monday, May 24

  • Coppinger, Todd, 18-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested May 21 at the Logan County Safety Complex on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

  • Harr, Joseph, 28-year-old male, of Clinton, arrested May 22 on old Illinois Route 66 at 1500 Avenue, rural Lincoln, on Class A charge of driving under the influence. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • Jones, Tyler J., 20-year-old male, of Mason City, arrested May 23 in Logan County on a McLean County warrant for failure to appear on charges of manufacturing and delivering cannabis. Bond was set at $300 cash. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • McCown, Joseph C., 22-year-old male, of Bloomington, arrested May 22 in Atlanta on Class A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and Class C charge of possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Bond was set at $1,750, 10 percent. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • Nimmo, Bridget K., 19-year-old male, of Clinton, arrested May 22 on Old Route 66 at 1500 Avenue, rural Lincoln, on Class A charge of illegal consumption.

  • Pitts, Dustin S., 34-year-old male, of Beason, arrested May 23 on Illinois Route 10 near 1800 Avenue on Class A charge of driving under the influence and Class A charge of domestic battery. Bond was set for DUI only at $3,000, 10 percent. He was held without bond on the battery charge.

  • Rogers, Daniel J., 19-year-old male, of Emden, arrested May 23 at 1400 Street and 700 Avenue, rural Lincoln, on Class A charge of illegal consumption plus a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.
