Montessori Children's House concludes year with spring play

[Click on photos below to enlarge.]

The children from the Montessori Children's House of Lincoln put on another wonderful spring performance Friday. It was titled "The American Years."  The children had been learning about the Boston Tea Party, the ride of Paul Revere, the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the
American Revolution.

They talked about how our ancestors were concerned about King George exercising his power over their freedoms. How fitting that we be reminded, through our children, the truths that brought us to this country in the first place and the responsibility we have to pass that on to each generation!

Congratulations to Bethany Vickers and her assistants for another quality program. And, great job, children! For reminding us that freedom is not free, but we live in a land where we can dream of becoming anything we want. We salute you and challenge you to dream big!
