Grains futures rise, livestock trades mixed

[May 28, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains advanced Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery rose 6 cents to $4.6775 a bushel, while July corn gained 1.75 cents to $3.7325 a bushel and oats for July delivery climbed 4 cents to $1.965 a bushel. July soybeans surged 13.75 cents to $9.5175 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded higher and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle added 0.77 cent to 91.57 cents a pound, August feeder cattle edged up 0.2 cent to $1.085 a pound, June lean hogs lost 0.48 cent to 81.17 cents a pound, and July pork bellies shed 0.55 cent to $1.0205 a pound.
