On Friday evening at the Johnston Center for Performing Arts, the much-anticipated new book about Abraham Lincoln in Logan County went up for sale.

Author Paul Beaver, associate authors Phil Bertoni and Ron Keller, as well as the editorial team and Lincoln portrayer Joe Woodard were on hand for the event.

For almost two hours, a steady line of purchasers lined the center, waiting for their turn to have their copies autographed, making this one of the largest book signings in many years in Logan County.

Keller, associate author and curator of the Abraham Lincoln Heritage Museum, told those gathered that he is convinced the new book has such historical significance that it will be considered a defining  history of our ties with Abraham Lincoln in Logan County. Keller went on to say the book has as much historical importance as did Stringer's account of Logan County history, published back in 1911.

Copies of the book are available at the Prairie Years Bookstore in downtown Lincoln.
