'Sanity' rally seen by 2 million TV viewers

[November 02, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Comedy Central says two million viewers watched its live coverage of Saturday's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear.

HardwareThe network says that audience was more than triple the number usually tuned to Comedy Central during that three-hour time slot.

Online live video streams of the rally totaled 570,000.

Originating from Washington's National Mall, the humor-and-music event was hosted by Comedy Central stars Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert (kohl-BEHR'). The show ran from noon to 3 p.m.
