[November 04, 2010]  The Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County will host the second annual Home Based Business Expo on Nov. 21 at the American Legion in Lincoln. Hours will be from noon till 3 p.m. The Legion building is at 1740 Fifth St. in Lincoln.

InsuranceAny business that is based in someone's home, such as Tupperware, Avon, Lia Sophia, Tastefully Simple and lawn care businesses, will be represented at this expo. They will display some of their merchandise, offer cash-and-carry items, book home parties and take orders, as well as speak with visitors about the opportunities they can provide if someone is interested in having their own home business.

Also on hand will be the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and others who will discuss how they can help home-based business owners become more successful.

The event will also include door prizes donated by all of the vendors as well as coffee and doughnuts donated by Casey's General Store.

The proceeds from the event will go toward the restoration project for The Mill on 66. This is the main project for the Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County, which hopes to have the site opened as a Route 66 museum in 2011.

The foundation is pleased to present the event to the community. It will provide a business opportunity as well as a jump-start to the holiday shopping season by shopping locally. The public is encouraged to come and check out all that is offered.

Vendor spaces are still available. All vendors must be registered by noon Nov. 18. Call 217-732-8687 or e-mail admin@abe66.com to get your booth space today or if you have any questions.
