[November 09, 2010]  LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- A Little Rock man got the birthday surprise of a lifetime when a colleague gave him a used copy of John F. Kennedy's 1960 book, "The Strategy of Peace."

Tucked between pages 62 and 63 was one of Kennedy's business cards from his time as Massachusetts senator. The name "Jack Kennedy" was scrawled atop.

Paul Vitale's colleague bought the book online for $4.49, and Vitale doesn't know who owned it before.

Vitale says he showed the card to Kennedy speechwriter Ted Sorensen before he died last month, and Sorensen said it looked authentic.

Vitale says he plans to have the signature authenticated, find out how much the card is worth and do some good with it. Meanwhile, it's being kept in a bank security box.
