Red Lions drop 2nd match in 5

[November 12, 2010]  KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Lincoln Christian University's volleyball team dropped their second match at the NCCAA Division II national tournament to Kentucky Christian University in five games to end their first day of pool play at 0-2. KCU won 15-25, 25-23, 25-13, 15-25 and 15-8.

LCU will complete pool play Friday when they take on Providence at 2 p.m. and Florida Christian at 6 p.m. The semifinals and championship matches will be contested Saturday.

LCU individual stats:

First match, versus Ozark:

  • Krystine Schnautz: 24 kills, 1 ace, 19 digs, four blocks, 27.5 points

  • Jamie McFadden: 18 kills, 14 digs, 4 blocks, 20.5 points

  • Emily Sheley: 6 kills, 1 dig, 7 blocks, 10 points

  • Lydia Bunting: 46 assists, 4 digs

  • Anna Devillez: 25 digs

Second match, versus Kentucky:

  • Schnautz: 16 kills, 13 digs, 11 blocks, 23.5 points

  • McFadden: 15 kills, 1 ace, 10 digs, 3 blocks, 18.5 points

  • Sheley: 12 kills, 12 blocks, 18 points

  • Bunting: 38 assists, 6 digs

  • Devillez: 30 digs
