Cross countrySPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Lincoln College
women's cross country team and two male individuals competed at this
year's national meet in Spartanburg, S.C. More than 60 teams were
represented from all across the United States.
The LC women's team placed 31st. They were led by sophomore Megan
Herrman, who ran the 5K course in a time of 20:23, placing her 96th
overall. This time also places her eighth on Lincoln's top 10 list.
Larissa Mooberry's time of 20:40 placed her 105th, and that time
also places her 10th on Lincoln's top 10 list.
Jeff Wooldridge's time of 26:26 for the 8K placed him 48th
overall, a near miss for all-American honors. His time moves him to
second on Lincoln's top 10 times.

Coach Herron said: "I think we did a solid job today. Many of our
runners finished with personal records and that's what you are
looking for at a national meet. It was great to see Megan Herrman
and Jeff Wooldridge end their Lincoln College cross country careers
with their best races. It will be hard to replace them and our other
sophomores such as Keara Allen-Wilson, Shanna Tharp, Kata Williams
and Jordan Johanson. They were a great group to work with. Now we
have to change our focus on the upcoming track season."
The track team will begin competition on Jan. 29 at the IWU Open.

Swimming
ELSAH -- Lincoln College swimming and diving (2-1) drowned
Principia College (1-1) in the home pool this weekend. The Lynx won
24 of 26 events on their way to victory. To put it simply, the depth
of LC was too much for Principia.
Coach Sexton commented: "I was extremely pleased with how
we performed this afternoon. It was a true test of having to compete
against ourselves. This was the hardest week of training we have had
this semester, and we (were) thrilled to put up some fast swims. We
were wanting to use the swims from this weekend to use for our
biggest meet of the semester this upcoming weekend at the University
of Chicago."
