LC wrestling

[November 15, 2010]  MUSKEGON, Mich. -- The Lincoln College wrestling team competed in the Muskegon Open on Saturday. The team competed well, coming away with 11 individuals placing in the top four:

• 125 -- D'Marcus Spencer, first; Prentice Thomas, second

• 133 -- Luke Schofield, fourth

• 141 -- DaMonte Riley, second; Gavin McGinley, third

• 149 -- Mark Marianovich, third

• 157 -- Christian Taborn, second

• 184 -- Michael Johnson, first

• Hwt. -- Andre Dunn, first; Gabe Berry, second; Devon Smith, fourth

Next weekend the team will have their work cut out for them. They will travel to Omaha, Neb., to compete in the Kaufman-Brand Open. This tournament has many of the best wrestlers in the country competing across all divisions.
