Jewell Sumski

[November 15, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Jewell Sumski, 106, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at 10 p.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Sumski worked at Lincoln Garment Factory, Lincoln Developmental Center and Cutler-Hammer. She and her husband owned and operated the Lincoln ice factory.

She was born June 18, 1904, at Elizabethtown. Her parents were Jonathan and Carrie Dutton Belt. She married Bernard Sumski on Nov. 26, 1926, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death in 1995.

She is survived by one brother, Charley Belt of Cottage Hills, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.

Memorials may be made to Community Action's home-delivered meals program.
