Accidents

Nov. 11, 2:14 p.m.

Accident occurred on South Jefferson at Fifth Street.

  • Reynolds, Jennifer C., 29-year-old female, Springfield; 2010 Subaru Forester

  • Frost, Virginia A., 68-year-old female, Lincoln; 2009 Chevrolet Impala

Frost said she was stopped on South Jefferson with an unknown vehicle in front of her. The unknown vehicle started forward and Frost did as well. When the unknown vehicle suddenly stopped, Frost slammed on her brakes. Reynolds, who was behind Frost, had also started forward but was unable to stop before rear-ending the Frost vehicle.

Reynolds was ticketed.

Nov. 12, 3:12 p.m.

Accident occurred on North Hamilton at the intersection with Keokuk.

  • Schauer, Joseph L., 68-year-old male, Lincoln; 1995 Ford Windstar

  • Shutt, Donna Y., 42-year-old female, Lincoln; 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Schauer arrived at the stop sign on Hamilton at Keokuk from the north, while Shutt arrived on the south side of the intersection. Both said that they were the first to stop at their respective locations. Both then proceeded into the intersection, with Shutt attempting to turn left. The two collided.

  • McGee, Sheila M., 57, of Lincoln, was arrested Nov. 15 at Woodlawn and Jefferson on charge of driving with no valid driver's license.

  • McPherson, Mary J., 41, of Lincoln, was arrested Nov. 15 at her residence on charges of theft under $300.

  • Hedenberg, Jarrod W., 21, of Arthur, was arrested Nov. 15 on Illinois Route 121 at Harry Street in Mount Pulaski on charges of driving with a license suspended.
