[November 16, 2010]  Several members of the Lincoln College volleyball team have received all-conference and all-region recognition.

The Midwest Athletic Conference has chosen LC freshman outside hitter Alexis Nelson for first-team recognition. Nelson, a graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights, was also selected as the MWAC Co-Freshman of the Year.

The conference also gave honorable mention recognition to Lincoln's sophomore setter Emily Fox of Springfield and to sophomore libero Markeshia Williams, a graduate of East St. Louis High School.

When the all-region teams for NJCAA Region 24 were announced, Nelson was again chosen for first-team recognition. She was one of only three freshmen in the region to make the eight-member first team. Nelson's 389 kills and 50 percent hitting efficiency rating for the Lady Lynx this season ranked her No. 5 in the nation among Division II NJCAA hitters.

Fox, the team’s assist leader with over 600 total assists for the year, was awarded all-region honorable mention status. All-region honorable mention recognition was also given to freshman middle hitter Chelsea Rhoades. Rhoades, a graduate of Rushville High School, led LC in blocks with 141 and was second in kills with 189.
