Grains futures, livestock prices drop

[November 17, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures declined sharply Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slid 47.75 cents to $6.6475 a bushel; March corn tumbled 29 cents to $5.40 a bushel; March oats dropped 4 cents to $3.55 a bushel; while soybeans for January delivery sank 66.75 cents to $12.1975 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded also flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle dropped 0.72 cent to $1.0210 a pound; January feeder cattle slipped 0.20 cent to $1.1485 a pound; February lean hogs slid 1.40 cents to 73.62 cents a pound; and February pork bellies were flat at $1.0450 a pound.
