[November 18, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells will star in the upcoming Broadway musical by the "South Park" creators.

Producers of "The Book of Mormon" say Gad, a correspondent on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and Rannells, who did a stint on "Jersey Boys," will play two young Mormon missionaries.

The other leads include Nikki M. James, Rory O'Malley and Michael Potts.

"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone wrote the show's book, music and lyrics, along with Robert Lopez, one of the creators of the Tony-winning "Avenue Q."

The musical will be choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, who did "Monty Python's Spamalot" and will be jointly directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

Previews begin on Feb. 24. The show opens March 24 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.
