[November 19, 2010]  TYLER, Texas -- The Lincoln College men's soccer team came up short Thursday in their first-ever appearance in the NJCAA national tournament. The Lynx entered the contest as the No. 6 seed and faced Cincinnati State, the No. 2 seed.

Lincoln (16-2-4) went into the half with the score 0-0. Cincinnati State (21-2) was able to score twice, late in the second half, on two counterattack goals.

While Lincoln missed several good scoring chances, according to coach Ben Massena, "the team played well besides the two late goals."

Lincoln College soccer will play Otero College (16-2-1) today (Friday) at 10 a.m. in the first round of consolation.
