Grains futures drop, livestock prices rise

[November 20, 2010]   CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures dropped Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for March delivery dipped 0.5 cent to $6.84 a bushel; March corn tumbled 21 cents to $5.3475 a bushel; March oats fell 2 cents to $3.66 a bushel; while soybeans for January delivery sank 40.5 cents to $12.015 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. February live cattle added 0.52 cent to $1.0502 a pound; January feeder cattle gained 1.35 cents to $1.1740 a pound; February lean hogs rose 1.05 cents to 76.85 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0450 a pound.
