Grains futures trade mixed, livestock prices drop

[May 10, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for March delivery rose 3.25 cents to $6.905 a bushel; March corn edged up 0.25 cent to $5.5325 a bushel; March oats slid 6.5 cents to $3.495 a bushel; while soybeans for January delivery dropped 3.5 cents to $12.35 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle dropped 0.45 cent to $1.0577 a pound; January feeder cattle slipped 0.35 cent to $1.1840 a pound; February lean hogs fell 0.93 cent to 76.22 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0450 a pound.
