"Oil prices slowly but surely appear to be breaking away from the shackles of macroeconomic influence to refocus on market-specific fundamentals," Barclays Capital said. In other Nymex trading in November contracts, heating oil rose 1.36 cents to $2.281 a gallon and gasoline gained 1.23 cent to $2.048 a gallon. Natural gas fell 2.8 cents to $3.844 per 1,000 cubic feet. In London, Brent crude rose 47 cents to $82.78 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange.
