Grains futures mixed, livestock prices mostly drop

[October 05, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures traded mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery dropped 7.75 cents to $6.4725 a bushel; December corn added 5.75 cents to $4.715 a bushel; December oats gained 4.25 cents to $3.375 a bushel; while soybeans for November delivery slipped 3 cents to $10.54 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle slid 1.05 cents to 97.30 cents a pound; November feeder cattle dropped 1.60 cents to $1.1067 a pound; December lean hogs shed 0.97 cent to 71.90 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0850 a pound.
