HOME IMPROVEMENT BOOKS 

Oxmoor House is recalling Home Improvement Books sold nationwide from 1955 to December 2005. The books contain errors in the technical diagrams and wiring instructions that could lead consumers to incorrectly install or repair electrical wiring, posing an electrical shock or fire hazard. 

The recall involves the following 17 home improvement books. These titles are out of print and were last sold by retailers in 2005. However, they are likely still on bookshelves in consumers' homes. A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org

LIGHT BULBS

Eastern America Trio Products Inc. is recalling Trisonic Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs sold in New York, Pennsylvania and  Connecticut from January 2008 to December 2008. Light bulb may overheat and catch fire. 

This recall involves Trisonic 15-, 20-, 22- and 25-watt compact fluorescent light bulbs with the model numbers TS-EN 15W/SP, TS-EN 20W/SP, TS-CFL 22WB or TS-EN 25W/SP printed on the base of the bulb.

FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANELS 

Fire-Lite Alarms is recalling Fire Alarm Control Panel sold nationwide from October 2008 to March 2010. The recalled fire alarm control panels used with an SLC-2LS expander module can fail to sound an alarm in the event of a fire. 

This recall involves the Fire-Lite model MS-9600LS Series control panel that uses the SLC-2LS Expander Module. The following control panel model numbers included in this recall are: MS-9600LS, MS-9600LSC, MS-9600LSE, MS-9600UDLS, MS-9600UDLSE, UNIMODE9600LS and UNIMODE9600UDLS.

LOFT BEDS 

PBteen is recalling Sleep and Study Loft Beds sold nationwide from January 2008 to July 2010. The side rail on the bed can crack allowing the mattress support to collapse, posing a fall and injury hazard. 

This recall involves PBteen Sleep and Study Loft beds in a variety of colors: espresso, honey, white and black. The bed is elevated and has a desk and bookcase underneath it. The beds were sold in the following colors: honey, black, espresso, and white.

JOGGING STROLLERS 

Tike Tech Ltd. is recalling Single City X3 and X3 Sport Jogging Strollers sold nationwide from October 2009 to February 2010. The opening between the grab bar and seat bottom of the stroller can allow an infant's body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck by the grab bar, posing a strangulation hazard. 

The recall involves the grab bar on Tike Tech Single City X3 and X3 Sport strollers. "Tike Tech" is printed on the footrest and on the back of the stroller on the left and right sides. The ID codes are located on the interior left side frame and can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should contact Tike Tech at (800) 296-4602 between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit www.tiketech.com to receive a free replacement grab bar. More info at www.recalls.org.

VALCO STROLLERS 

Valco Baby is recalling Tri Mode Single and Twin Jogging Strollers sold nationwide from November 2007 to March 2010. The opening between the grab bar and seat bottom of the stroller can allow an infant's body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck by the grab bar, posing a strangulation. 

This recall involves the grab bar on Tri Mode Single and Twin strollers. "Valco Baby" is printed on the head rest and the padding on the footboard. The grab bar is optional and can be removed from the stroller. The stroller's model numbers are located on a white sticker on the left hand side of brake bar and can be found at www.recalls.org

FRYING PANS 

Tabletops Unlimited, Inc. is recalling Castalon frying pans sold nationwide from May 2010 to September 2010. The enamel coating of the pan can crackle and break off after a few uses, posing a burn hazard. 

The recalled product is a cast iron cast-lite frying pan with an enamel coating inside and out. The pan was sold in a variety of colors and has model numbers: TTU9203, P9204, P9207, P9208, P9242, P9243, P9244, P9248, P9250, P9261, P9266, P9274, P9275, P9276 on the color sleeve packaging of the product.

ROMAN SHADES 

Green Mountain Vista Inc. is recalling Roman Shades  sold nationwide from September 2004 to August 2010. Strangulations can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the shade or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck. 

This recall involves all Green Mountain Vista Roman shades. These shades have a small sewn-on label on the back side of the shade with RN#107875.

TRAMPOLINES 

Bravo Sports is recalling Trampolines sold nationwide from January 2007 to September 2010. Incorrectly assembled trampolines can allow the top rails and legs to bend or break during normal use, resulting in partial collapse of the trampoline. This poses a fall hazard. 

This recall involves AirZone and Variflex trampolines with model numbers 137083 (with wheels), 137536, 137683, 138088, 138467, 138472, 138489, 139275, 139283, 139284, 139300 and 139706. The model number is found on the safety label sewn to the pad cover.

CRIBS SOLD AT JC PENNEY 

Jardine Enterprises Ltd. is recalling Alexander Designs Ltd. brand drop-side cribs sold exclusively by JC Penney from March 2003 to April 2007. The drop-side rail hardware on the cribs can break or fail, allowing the drop side to detach from the crib. When the drop side detaches, a hazardous gap is created between the drop-side rail and the crib mattress in which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation. 

This recall involves full-size cribs sold under the Alexander Designs brand name. "Alexander Designs Ltd." and the JCPenney catalog/item number are printed on a label on the crib's headboard. A list of the model name and item number can be found at www.recalls.org.
