Red Lions lose to Lady Oaks

[October 11, 2010]  The Lady Oaks of Oakland City (Ind.) University handed the Red Lions of Lincoln Christian a 3-1 loss in volleyball Saturday by scores of 19-25, 19-25, 25-18 and 17-25.

LCU is now 14-8 for the season.

The Red Lions were not able to handle the tall front line of the Oaks, although they did get strong games from Krystine Schnautz with 20 kills, one service ace, 12 digs, four blocks, 24 1/2 points; Rachel Langseth with 14 kills, two service aces, 11 digs, one block, 17 points; and Emily Sheley with six kills, one service ace, two digs, four blocks, 9 1/2 points. Anna Devillez added 20 digs, and Lydia Bunting set up the scorers with 30 assists and seven digs.

The Red Lions will host Maryville University on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
