Grains futures fall, livestock prices mostly rise

[October 20, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures sank Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

WhHardwareeat for December delivery slid 18.5 cents to $6.715 a bushel; December corn dropped 11.25 cents to $5.46 a bushel; December oats tumbled 17 cents to $3.45 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery dipped 4 cents to $11.80 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle added 0.23 cent to $1.0095 a pound; November feeder cattle gained 1.25 cents to $1.1080 a pound; December lean hogs traded up 0.18 cent to 68.20 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0350 a pound.
