Grains futures climb, livestock prices trade mixed

[October 21, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures climbed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for December delivery gained 11.5 cents to $6.83 a bushel; December corn jumped 27.5 cents to $5.735 a bushel; December oats rose 10 cents to $3.55 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery soared 32 cents to $12.12 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle added 0.67 cent to $1.0162 a pound; November feeder cattle slid 0.50 cent to $1.1030 a pound; December lean hogs traded up 0.52 cent to 68.72 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0350 a pound.
