Lincoln College sporting events schedule

[October 22, 2010]  With fall sports finishing their regular seasons and basketball just around the corner, Lincoln College has several special sports events coming up this weekend.

InsuranceMen's soccer

The Lincoln College men's soccer team finishes the regular season (12-1-4) while capturing the Mid West Athletic Conference and Region 24 championship. The team has jumped back into the national polls at No.14 this week. The team is the No. 1 seed in the Region 24 tournament and will host Kaskaskia College (5-13) in the first round of playoffs on Saturday at noon on the campus of Lincoln College.

Men's basketball

The men's basketball team will host "Meet the Lynx" on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Center. The night will be highlighted by a 3-point shooting contest, dunk contest and a 20-minute intrasquad scrimmage. The Lynx cheer team and dance team will also perform. Admission will be free. Season tickets are still available and can be purchased that night.

Exterminator

Women's basketball

The women's basketball team has a scrimmage on Friday at 6 p.m. This is an opportunity to come watch the Lady Lynx before they open their season on Nov. 5 versus Lindenwood-Belleville.

Women's volleyball

The volleyball team will play their last regular-season games in the Lincoln Center on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The team's last home game will be on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. in the Davidson-Sheffer Gymnasium.
