Grains prices drop, livestock futures trade mixed

[September 01, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures dropped Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat foHardwarer December delivery fell 18.75 cents to $6.8575 a bushel; December corn shed 2.25 cents to $4.3925 a bushel; December oats dipped 1.5 cents to $2.7675 a bushel; and November soybeans fell 12.5 cents to $10.10 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle slipped 0.78 cent to 97.27 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dropped 0.85 cent to $1.1507 a pound; October lean hogs gained 0.18 cent to 75.05 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were unchanged at $1.0525 a pound.
