Grains prices rise, livestock futures trade mixed

[September 02, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery jumped 23 cents to $7.0875 a bushel; December corn climbed 7.5 cents to $4.4675 a bushel; December oats added 3 cents to $2.7975 a bushel; while November soybeans shed 4.5 cents to $10.055 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle added 0.50 cent to $1.0055 cents a pound; October feeder cattle dropped 0.28 cent to $1.1482 a pound; October lean hogs shed 0.20 cent to 74.95 cents a pound; while February pork bellies slid 0.25 cent to $1.05 a pound.
