[September 04, 2010]  The Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County will have its fourth annual Fall Farm Day on Sept. 12. This year's tour will be a little bit different. There will not be a bus or any specific route. Instead, four places will be highlighted where there will be open houses showcasing all that they have to offer.

The Fall Farm Day tour this year will make its way through northern Logan County, starting in Atlanta, going through rural northern Lincoln and ending in Beason.

The Fall Farm Day event kicks off at noon at the Palms Grill Atlanta Museum. From there, cars can caravan from stop to stop, enjoying the open houses at a leisurely pace. The tour will run from 1 to 4 p.m. and will include J.H. Hawes Elevator and Museum, the Lincoln Corn Maze from 2 to 4 p.m., Wachter Farms, and Gail's Pumpkin Patch, where the tour will end with a presentation by local historian Paul Gleason on agriculture in the time of Abraham Lincoln.

There is no charge for the tour this year, and discounted rates will be available at the Lincoln Corn Maze.

Call the tourism office at 217-732-8687 or e-mail admin@abe66.com with your questions.
