Home invasion suspect arrested in Waynesville

[September 07, 2010]  Tyler T. Lancaster was arrested on a Logan County warrant for home invasion, a Class X felony, on Sept. 2 in Waynesville.

Lancaster was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force in coordination with the Lincoln Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff's Office. Lancaster is currently in custody at the Logan County Jail with bond set at $150,000. The capture ends a near two-month manhunt for Lancaster.

Lincoln police were dispatched to a residence on July 8 in reference to a home invasion. The 17-year-old victim at the address was attacked by an unknown assailant armed with a knife. The suspect fled the residence in an unknown direction.

The victim had minor injuries and was treated and released at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Through the efforts of the Lincoln Police Criminal Investigations Division, the suspect was identified as Tyler T. Lancaster of Lincoln.
