LC coach Mark Tippett commented: "At times in this match we
showed that we are capable of playing very solid defense and that we
have the ability to run a quick offense.
The problem was we did not pass the ball consistently in serve
receive. In all three of the sets we lost, we got stuck in one
rotation and gave up too many points before siding out. Our players
showed a lot of heart, though, and fought to the end. It is obvious
that we will need to sharpen our serve receive game quite a bit in
order to get back in the win column."
Lincoln College will host the inaugural Hampton Inn Invitational
Tournament on Friday and Saturday. Eight teams will compete for the
title, with play beginning at 1 p.m. Friday.
