[September 11, 2010]  ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a Delta flight to Tampa, Fla., returned to Detroit Metropolitan Airport about an hour after departing and a disruptive passenger was removed from the plane.

InsuranceDelta Air Lines Inc. spokesman Kent Landers says Flight 1721 left the Detroit airport in Romulus about 7:30 p.m. Friday and returned about an hour later.

FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold says the female passenger's behavior concerned the crew, but she wasn't being a threat. Berchtold says the passenger wasn't arrested but wouldn't be allowed back on the plane.

Berchtold says she couldn't describe the disruption or release further details about the passenger.

Landers says the Airbus A320 was carrying 138 passengers and 5 crew. It departed for Tampa again later.
