Weekend slate of activities at Mount Pulaski Fall Festival

[September 11, 2010]  MOUNT PULASKI -- There has been plenty to do already at Mount Pulaski's Fall Festival and the weekend has even more family fun and activities.

Below is a schedule of the weekend events in one of Logan County's most historic towns.

Saturday, Sept. 11

(Rain location is the Mount Pulaski Christian Church Family Life Center.)

  • 7 a.m. -- Mount Pulaski Christian Church pancake and sausage breakfast, Cross Brothers Food Tent

  • 7 a.m. -- 5K check-in begins, Mount Pulaski High School

  • 8 a.m. -- 3-on-3 tournament, Mount Pulaski Christian Church parking lot

  • 8:30 a.m. -- Antique tractor display, Jefferson/Washington Street

  • 8:30 a.m. -- 5K begins, Jefferson/Washington Street

  • 9 a.m. -- Car show and bike show, Jefferson/Washington Street

  • 9 a.m. -- Carnival: Zeiler Amusements, Jefferson/Lafayette Street

  • 9:30 a.m. -- FFA petting zoo, Jefferson/Washington Street

  • 9:45 a.m. -- Registration begins for kiddie tractor pull, Washington Street

  • 10 a.m. -- Pie cook-off, Cross Brothers Food Tent

  • 10 a.m. -- Jaycees kiddie tractor pull, Washington Street

  • 11:30 a.m. -- Parade registration, high school parking lot

  • 1 p.m. -- 2010 "Hollywood on the Square" parade begins at high school. Route: Wayne Street to Washington Street, Washington to Harry Street, Harry to Spring Street to high school.

  • 1:50 p.m. -- Parade awards, parade stage

  • 2:30 p.m. -- Community band, Farmers Bank Main Stage

  • 2:30 p.m. -- Fireside Relics band, Jaycees Beer Tent

  • 4:30 p.m. -- 175th Anniversary Committee grilled chicken dinner, Cross Brothers Food Tent

  • 5 p.m. -- Brooks Dance Studio, Farmers Bank Main Stage

  • 5:30 p.m. -- Eating contest, Farmers Bank Main Stage

  • 6 p.m. -- "Minute to Win It" game show, Farmers Bank Main Stage

  • 7 p.m. -- Dueling pianos, Farmers Bank Main Stage

  • 8 p.m. -- Upfront, Jaycees Beer Tent
