[September 15, 2010]  The 40th annual Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting Festival is fast approaching. With so many great options for families to enjoy, the weekend won't disappoint.

A highlight of the festival is the annual Civil War Ball. The ball will be on Friday at the Lincoln Park District Rec Center from 7 to 10 p.m. With the help of very talented demonstrators, attendees will learn how to dance the way they did in the olden days of the Civil War era.

Come out and experience the music and dance of a time long past. No worries about what to wear. Just come out and enjoy. This event is fun for the entire family.
