[September 15, 2010]  The 40th annual Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting Festival is fast approaching. With so many great options for families to enjoy, the weekend won't disappoint.

InsuranceA highlight of the festival will be performances by the Illinois Country Music Association. ICMA performers will be on the Abe Stage in the KC Building and throughout the festival on Saturday and Sunday. This is fun for the entire family.

ICMA performers who will be entertaining during the festival are Ray Prince, Elise Marie, Amanda Mines, Stephanie Foster, Templeton Family, Gracia Harrison, Jenny Bennet and Naomi Hills on Saturday, as well as Chris Krause, Terry Lynn Barton, Taylor June, Lizzie Mladic and the new Blood Gospel Bluegrass on Sunday. These are seasoned entertainers who perform at Oprys and other venues throughout central Illinois and the surrounding states, including Branson, Mo, Nashville, Tenn., and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., to name a few. Some are independent recording artists who write and perform their own original music and produce their own videos as well.

The ICMA is made up of musicians, dancers, performers and fans who are dedicated to promoting country, gospel, bluegrass and Western music throughout the state of Illinois.

There will be a special Saturday night free performance.
