Grains futures mostly drop, livestock prices rise

[September 16, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly fell Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for December delivery dropped 12.5 cents to $7.2275 a bushel; December corn shed 1.25 cents to $4.65 a bushel; December oats added 4 cents to $3.07 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery dipped 0.5 cent to $10.515 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle gained 0.35 cent to 96.70 cents a pound; October feeder cattle added 0.18 cent to $1.1260 a pound; October lean hogs rose 0.75 cent to 76.35 cents a pound; and February pork bellies were flat at $1.0550 a pound.
