Salinas NJCAA soccer player of the week

[September 16, 2010]  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Lincoln (Illinois) College sophomore forward Stiven Salinas has been named by the NJCAA as men's soccer player of the week.

Stiven Salinas, a local of Miami, Fla., led Lincoln College to a 1-0-2 record for the week.

The 5-foot-6 forward had 11 total shots on goal over the three games, connecting with the net three times.

He also recorded four assists over the three-game span. Stiven currently leads the nation in goals scored (11), assists (8) and total points (30).

The Lynx have a record of 5-0-2 with their last win over No. 14 Lincoln Land by the score of 4-1.

The two ties were to teams ranked in the NJCAA top 15.
