Accident occurred at South Union and Fifth Street.

King said he was stopped in traffic on Union Street at the
intersection with Fifth. He said a car in front of him pulled out to
cross through the intersection but was unable to continue, so he
stopped again. King said that he had also pulled up, had to stop,
then backed up his vehicle.
The same scenario happened twice, with King pulling up and then
reversing. The second time, he backed his vehicle into the auto
owned by Ross.
Ross said she had seen King pull up, stop and then reverse both
times. However, the second time, she was unable to reverse out of
his way because another car had pulled up behind her.
Sept. 14, 7:14 a.m.
Accident occurred on North Kickapoo at Yosemite.

Cram, Billy R., 54-year-old male,
Carlinville; 2005 Peterbilt semi owned by Gwillim Trucking of
Carlinville
Heinzel was northbound on Kickapoo with Cram being southbound on
Kickapoo. Heinzel said that he witnessed Cram veering into the
northbound lane, where he hit the Heinzel vehicle.
Cram said that he witnessed Heinzel bent over in the driver's
seat of his vehicle. It then drifted into the southbound lane and
hit Cram.
Witnesses to the accident agreed with Cram's account of the
accident. Heinzel was ticketed for improper lane usage and operating
an uninsured vehicle.
Sept. 14, 12:48 p.m.
Accident occurred in the 600 block of Woodlawn Road, in the
Walgreens parking lot.

Mason City; 1996 Saturn SC
Baldwin was backing east out of a spot at Walgreens, with Wankel
coming around the building southbound. Malerich said she did not see
Wankel and backed into her.
Sept. 14, 3:20 p.m.
Accident occurred on Eighth Street, 292 feet west of South Maple.

Eimer, Richard F., 94-year-old male of
Lincoln; 2011 Buick Lucerne
Malerich was backing out of a parking space in a lot. She backed
across the lane and struck the Eimer vehicle, which was parked and
unoccupied.
Sept. 15, 11:01 a.m.
Accident occurred at the intersection of Lincoln Parkway and
Woodlawn Road.

Faulkner, Michelle

Hagenbuch, Andrew M., 33-year-old male,
Bloomington; 2008 Chevrolet HHR
Faulkner was northbound on Lincoln Parkway, stopped at the
intersection for a red light. She said another vehicle in front of
her was stopped also, then passed through the intersection. Faulkner
noted that she had a green turn arrow and proceeded into the
intersection to make her turn to the left. It was then that
Hagenbuch entered the intersection and she struck his vehicle.
Hagenbuch said he had the green light to go through the
intersection and that he had seen the first vehicle pass through on
what must have been a red light. As he proceeded into the
intersection, Faulkner also ran the red light and struck his
vehicle.
Witnesses behind Faulkner said the light was not green. Faulkner
was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device and operating a
vehicle without insurance.

Sept. 16, 8:09 a.m.
Accident occurred on North Monroe at 13th Street.

Helton, Samantha J., 24-year-old
female, Lincoln; 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix
Helton was eastbound on 13th Street, with Moisant being
southbound on Monroe. Moisant said he did not notice the yield sign
at the intersection and proceeded to drive on, when he was struck by
Helton.
Helton said she did see Moisant, but it was too late to get her
vehicle stopped, and she struck him on the front passenger side.
Moisant was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at an
intersection and for operating an uninsured vehicle.

County Safety Complex on a Logan County warrant for failure to
appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

Sawicki, Thomas C., 48-year-old male,
of Lincoln, arrested Sept. 17 on Illinois Route 10 at 850 Avenue
near Lincoln on Class A charge of driving under the influence of
alcohol and Class A charge of having a blood-alcohol level
exceeding 0.08. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

- Hillis, Michael S., 42-year-old male, of Rochester, arrested
Sept. 17 near Elkhart, one mile west of the Interstate 55
interchange, on a Green County warrant for failure to appear on
charge of contempt. Bond was set at $15,000, 10 percent.
