[September 22, 2010]  Logan County Bank has announced a $25,000 commitment to the Preserve the Mission capital campaign for Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. The gift, made payable over five years, will be used toward construction of the new hospital campus, which is opening in the spring of 2011.

Brian Ash, president of Logan County Bank, presents a Preserve the Mission campaign gift to the executive director of the Abraham Lincoln Healthcare Foundation, Marty Ahrends.

"Our community is what made Logan County Bank a neighborhood-focused, community-driven bank for the past 48 years," said Brian Ash, president and CEO of the bank. "Having the ability to give back to our neighbors while helping all of us move forward together is something that is important to the employees and customers of our institution."

The $5.5 million Preserve the Mission campaign is an ongoing effort to raise funds to aid in the transition to the new campus. The new hospital is designed around three main ideals: patient safety, quality and convenience. This modern facility, replacing the 56-year-old current campus, will accommodate future technological growth and ease the daily access of patients.

"We are extremely grateful for the support of Logan County Bank and many of our other community businesses," said Bill Bates, co-chair of the Preserve the Mission campaign. "Logan County Bank recognizes that caring for this community means investing its resources in local health care. Their willingness to make such a wonderful contribution demonstrates their commitment to this community and our citizens."
