Grains futures mixed, livestock prices mostly drop

[September 23, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 1.75 cents to $7.1975 a bushel; December corn shed 0.25 cent to $5.05 bushel; December oats fell 7.5 cents to $3.44 a bushel; while soybeans for November delivery gained 8.5 cents to $10.885 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle dropped 1.33 cents to 96.17 cents a pound; October feeder cattle fell 1.63 cents to $1.0902 a pound; October lean hogs slid 0.60 cent to 78.70 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0850 a pound.
