Red Lions win 2

[September 23, 2010]  JACKSONVILLE -- Lincoln Christian University's women's volleyball team recorded two victories Wednesday evening as the Red Lions defeated Illinois College and Knox College, both in three straight games. LCU took the first match from IC 25-13, 25-22, 25-14 and beat Knox 25-8, 25-16, 26-24 to improve their season record to 9-2.

In the opening match against IC, the Red Lions were led by their front line of Krystine Schnautz, Jamie McFadden and Emily Sheley, who recorded 13, 11 and eight kills respectively. Schnautz also had one assist, two blocks, two service aces and 20 digs. McFadden had one service ace, one block and 13 digs, and Sheley added three blocks.

Lydia Bunting had 33 assists, two digs and three blocks, while Anna Devillez added 19 assists.

In the nightcap, McFadden was the leader with 14 kills and five digs, while Schnautz had 13 kills, four assists, eight digs and four service aces. Devillez had 16 digs and Bunting added 27 assists.

The Red Lions will participate in a two-day tournament at Millikin University on Friday and Saturday.
