[September 24, 2010]  ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) -- A Massachusetts woman has been charged with disguising herself as a man so she could rob her own 79-year-old grandmother.

Rachelle O'Handley, of Milford, was ordered held without bail on Wednesday at her arraignment in Attleboro District Court after pleading not guilty to breaking and entering, larceny and assault.

Authorities say O'Handley and an accomplice went to the alleged victim's North Attleborough home on Tuesday wearing a mask and layers of clothing so her grandmother would not recognize her. The 23-year-old allegedly made off with some jewelry that the grandmother and her husband recognized as belonging to them.

The Sun Chronicle reports that O'Handley's alleged accomplice, Katherine German, was released on $1,000 bail.

Lawyers for both suspects say the evidence against their clients is thin.
