NOTICE TO THE ELDERLY AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
FOR THE NOVEMBER 2, 2010 GENERAL ELECTION
Citizens who are not registered to vote and cannot leave their
home or
nursing home because of permanent disability, may arrange for voter
registration by contacting the office of the Logan County Clerk.
Upon
request, a list of Deputy Registrars will be given to any person
unable to come in to the office of the County Clerk for
registration. Any qualified registrant may register to vote at the office of the
Logan County Clerk located in Room #20 of the Logan County
Courthouse, Lincoln, Illinois from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Two forms of identification are required to
register; one must have your current address. The last day to
register to vote for the General Election is Tuesday, October 5,
2010 (with the exception of grace period registration and transfer
of registration beginning October 6, 2010 and ending October 26,
2010 in the office of the Logan County Clerk).
All polling places in Logan County are accessible to persons with
disabilities. Voting aids and assistance in marking the ballot is
available if needed. If you are physically unable to vote at your
polling place on Election Day, you may vote in person absentee in
the office of the Logan County Clerk, or absentee by mail. The last
day an absentee ballot can be mailed from the office of the County
Clerk is Thursday, October 28, 2010. The last day to vote in person
absentee in the office of the Logan County Clerk is Monday, November
1, 2010. For information concerning absentee voting, voter registration, or
voting for the elderly or disabled, please contact the office of the
