Red Lions volleyball splits at Millikin

[September 25, 2010]  DECATUR -- Lincoln Christian University's women's volleyball team split two matches at the Millikin invitational on Friday as they recorded their first-ever victory over Webster University 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-18, before dropping their match to Concordia 25-19, 23-25, 18-25 and 23-25.

LCU was led in the first match by Jamie McFadden with 24 kills, three service aces, 15 digs and four blocks and by Krystine Schnautz with 23 kills, two service aces, 11 digs and five blocks. Emily Sheley added six kills and six blocks. Lydia Bunting contributed 41 assists and seven digs, while Anna Devillez had 13 digs.

In the second match, Schnautz was the leader with 25 kills, six digs and one block, while McFadden had 18 kills, two service aces, 12 digs and two blocks. Sheley added six kills and five blocks, and Bunting managed 49 assists and seven digs. Devillez chipped in with 16 digs.

The Red Lions, now 10-3 for the year, will continue in the tournament tomorrow with matches against Robert Morris and Millikin University
