 Peifer was referring to the fact that four days after the Dick Logan
benefit at the Knights of Columbus Hall, money is still coming in to
help Dick and his family.The Knights have been getting checks in
the mail, plus many who won a silent auction item are coming in to
pick up and pay for their items.
Peifer has even had people just come up to him and hand him
checks, which now has the fund over $16,000 with still more to come
in.
Tom isn't sure when or where the donation total will finally end
up, but he said he is extremely proud of everyone who helped the
event be such a huge success.
"All the volunteers and all the people, all coming and helping
and giving to help out Dick and the family. I'm speechless."
Anyone still wishing to contribute can stop by the Knights Hall
or mail a check to the Dick Logan benefit in care of Knights of
Columbus, 217 N. Limit St., Lincoln, IL 62656.
