An open house has been scheduled for Oct. 7 at the Head Start center
at 200 Centennial Courts in Lincoln. Hours will be 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The classrooms will display children's artwork and special projects.
The teaching staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding the
creative curriculum used in the learning environment. Family
partnership staff will be available to provide information regarding
enrollment opportunities. All members of the community are invited
to attend.
"There is just nothing like spending time with our Head Start
children. We hope that members of the community will attend and get
to know our program. Those with a special talent to share or time to
donate are encouraged to contact us for volunteer opportunities,"
said Angela Stoltzenburg, Community Action executive director.
Head Start is
Community Action's oldest program, serving 338 children in a
six-county service area.
