Grains futures, livestock prices mostly slide

[September 30, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures mostly fell Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for December delivery dropped 1.25 cents to $6.835 a bushel; December corn added 5 cents to $5.05 bushel; December oats shed 2.5 cents to $3.355 a bushel; and soybeans for November delivery slid 11 cents to $10.99 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded flat or lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle dropped 0.73 cent to 98.57 cents a pound; November feeder cattle fell 0.80 cent to $1.0980 a pound; December lean hogs slid 2.05 cents to 73.85 cents a pound; while February pork bellies were flat at $1.0850 a pound.
