[September 30, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Nicole Richie became a tabloid regular when she co-starred with childhood pal Paris Hilton in "The Simple Life."

Several years later, the 29-year-old is still a paparazzi target, but she's broadened her resume.

HardwareThe daughter of singer Lionel Richie has transformed her party-girl image to a hip, young mom; fashion designer; occasional actress; and author.

Her new book "Priceless" is now in stores.

Richie's first novel, "The Truth About Diamonds," was a New York Times bestseller.

She serves as creative director for her clothing and accessories lines, Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960.

Richie also has a recurring role on NBC's "Chuck" and will next appear on the show in October.
