Pardon the interruption

[September 30, 2010]  Just when you were getting settled in at work and ready to take a look at Lincoln Daily News, your internet went down.

Or it didn't but your favorite websites such as LDN wouldn't come up and for others there was no phone service.

It was reported that a Frontier Communications fiber optic cable in the vicinity of Mackinaw was accidentally cut and that brought down the communication services including 911 systems in Logan, Woodford and parts of McLean county.

Service was out for approximately 3 hours while crews went to work repairing the damaged line.

There is currently no report as to who or how the cable was cut and what repercussions there will be.
