[April 11, 2011]  MACOMB -- The Lincoln College track team had some outstanding performances at the 22nd Lee Calhoun Invitational at WIU. The LC men's team placed fourth overall and the women's team placed ninth overall.

Lincoln was the only two-year school at the 20-team invitational meet Friday and Saturday. Many of the schools represented were Division I programs.

Placing in the top eight for the women:

  • Samantha Horton, third in the 100 and fifth in the 200

  • Tawnie McGann, fourth in the 100 hurdles

  • 4x100 relay of Britanie Teague, Micaha Moore, Detrius Brown and Samantha Horton, fifth

  • 4x200 relay of Britaine Teague, Tempest Miles, Micaha Moore and Samantha Horton, fourth

  • 4x800 relay of Keara Allen-Wilson, Shanna Tharp, Samantha Schneider and Mackenzie Sublon, seventh

  • Tedgie Hamilton, third in high jump

Placing in the top eight for the men's team:

  • Justin Smith, first in the 100 and second in the 200

  • Eric Reeves, fourth in the 100

  • Lekpea Kordah, eighth in the 100 and eighth in the 200

  • Albert Murrey, second in the 800

  • 4x800 relay of Albert Murrey, Jordan Johanson, Syruss Martin and Jeff Wooldridge, second

  • Sprint medley of Dustin Carlise, Rene Williams, Blake Clowers and Josh Owens, fifth

  • Ishmil Lindsay, eighth in high jump

  • Justin Smith, first in long jump

  • Eric Reeves, second in long jump
